Gaw Capital in partnership to tap into Korea Internet data centre market

According to a press release on April 26 introducing the bargain, Gaw Capital claims that this alliance will further develop the Dreamline telecom business and also marks the very first step for Gaw Capital to tap into the Korean IDC market.

Gaw Capital Partners has already signed contracts with IMM Investment Corp, a Korean private equity company, to tap into the Korea Internet data centre (IDC) market.

“The surging interest for data centres in Asia Pacific continues to grow due to enhanced Internet use driven by the pandemic,” says Kok Chye Ong, head of IDC Platform, Asia (ex-China), of Gaw Capital Partners.

Across The Globe, Gaw Capital’s data centre portfolio consists of data centres in China, Indonesia, Japan, and also now South Korea. The private equity company says that it will remain to choose possibilities to grow its IDC visibility in South Korea.

The contracts will certainly see Gaw Capital make a critical investment in Dreammark1, a nine-storey IDC, as well as develop a common tactical partnership with IMM Investment Corp to expand Dreamline, a Korean telecommunications company that has Dreammark1 as its subsidiary.
